With a mild climate, it is possible to enjoy its charms during the whole year: from the peacefulness of the town, which maintains all the flavour of its Moorish past, to its offers of boarding and leisure, passing through its nine kilometres of beaches (from the known Burriana to the small, virgin coves of Los Acantilados de Maro), gifted with modern services; Nerja is, at the present time, as much a destination for visitors looking for sun and peace as for numerous artists who have set up residence here.
The town has several famous beaches, including Burriana beach and is home to the world-famous Nerja caves.
