In El Cerro de Andévalo you can take part in the religious vigil in honour of San Benito that is held at the saint’s hermitage.

You get there by way of a twisting road that runs through the geographic centre of Andévalo, following a stray cow path through beautiful flowering landscape.

After taking part in this vigil you will want to go back to see the San Benito Abad pilgrimage, which has been declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia. For three days you will learn to intensively share the emotions of the people of Andalusia on a pilgrimage.

On the road that leads to the hermitage you will hear hymns and traditional songs and witness dances like the “dance of the swords and fandango and hear popular music.
