The local festivals are especially outstanding and remind us of unforgettable traditions which time cannot forget. Special mention should be made of Los Campanilleros in Esparragal which makes us thrill day and night to the sound of songs and Christmas carols, the snail fiestas in El Cañuelo, San Anton fiesta in Castil de Campos with its traditional “Los Testuzos” raffle…… fiestas where the villagers put all their determination and charm into welcoming the visitor, and proudly encourage him to taste the local cooking. We do not have to leave the area to find comfortable and homely places to stay the night. Villas, cortijos, and other country establishments will give the traveller a warm welcome.
