There is a total of 6 Andalucia airports. Of these, five are international airports, although each with a different number of flights and connections to other Spanish and European cities.

Without doubt, Malaga airport is the major gateway to Andalucia followed by the airports of Seville and Jerez. The Granada and Almeria airports operate mainly domestic flights and some international companies.

Cordoba airport currently has no scheduled flights as it has only has a small runway for private landings.
The other airports in the province offer daily service between Andalucia and the main cities of Spain and Europe.

Outside the region of Andalucia are situated within short distance two more airports that also serve as entry and exit for many travelers, the airport of Gibraltar and Faro (Portugal).

Malaga Airport

Malaga airport: Malaga Airport (or Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport as it is also known) is situated south-west of Malaga and its located at a distance of about 8 km from Malaga city centre and 5 km from Torremolinos. It’s the main international airport for the Costa del Sol.

Cadiz Airport

Cadiz airport: The closest airport is Jerez Airport which is situated 48km from Cadiz, 8 kms north-east of Jerez. It offers daily flights from Jerez to Madrid and Barcelona and from March to October, several charters with german airlines such as Monarch, LTU or Condor directly to Berlin, Munich or Dusseldorf. Ryanair also links Jerez with London Stansted.

Cordoba Airport

Cordoba airport: Cordoba Airport is situated 6 kilometers from the city and is classified as third category. Aircrafts arriving at the airport are guided from the control center of Seville. At present, the airport is used just for a few charter flights, military flights, aerial photography, flying courses, skydiving schools and other aerial work.

Granada Airport

Granada airport: Granada airport is situated in La Vega del Genil, 17 kilometres from the region’s capital city via the A-92 motorway, mainly handles scheduled flights to Barcelona and Madrid and therefore plays a key role in the socio-economic development of Granada and its area of influence: the Granada province, Jaén and the south-east of the Cordoba province.

Sevilla Airport

Sevilla airport: Seville airport is located 12 kms to the north east of the city of Sevilla on the N4 motorway. It offers national scheduled flights connected to other Spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Arrecife, Bilbao, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca, Santiago de Compostela and Tenerife. It also offers international charter flights and regular international flights to Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris and Rome.

Almeria Airport

Almería airport: Almeria airport is situated 8 Kms east of the city of Almería. You can get there by local buses which run to and from the centre of town, every half hour between 7am & 9pm, taxis are also available. The main airlines it offers are: AGA, Almería Air Services, GB Airways, Globeground, Iberia, Servisair and Tabernair.
